Unibug: Bob

pic20.bmp (921654 bytes) Bob is my first walker. When building him, I wanted to create something like Mark Tilden's Unibug 1.0. Unfortunately, Bob turned out quite different, but I am happy with the design. The brain is a Master/Slave Bicore. The original idea was for Bob to have a reverse sensor, it didnt work out. The black wire in the front is for the tactile reverse sensor. You can see it better in the second picture, in the lower right-hand corner. The battery is the blueish thing next to the back motor. It is a rechargable NiCd 3.6V battery that I got from Andy Pang. The motors are from two Macintosh floppy drives. The whole thing only cost me about $5.
